Shopping Guide

This guide walks you through the complete shopping experience — from finding what you’re looking for to placing your order and receiving confirmation.


1. Browsing Products

There are several ways to find products on the store:

FiltersOn any category or search results page, use filters to narrow by price, color, size, or rating
CollectionsFeatured collections (like “New Arrivals” or “Best Sellers”) are shown on the homepage

2. Product Pages

When you click on a product, you’ll see its full detail page:

  • Name and description — what the product is and what it includes
  • Variants and options — choose your preferred size, color, or other options
  • Price — shown in your local currency
  • Stock status — whether the item is in stock or sold out
  • Images — browse all product images; the image may update as you select different variants
  • Reviews and ratings — see what other customers have said
  • Return policy — how many days you have to return this item

[!TIP] If a particular size or color shows as unavailable, check back later — stock is updated regularly.


3. Adding to Cart

  1. On the product page, select your preferred variant options (size, color, etc.)
  2. Choose the quantity you want
  3. Click Add to Cart

A notification confirms the item has been added. The cart icon in the header updates to show the number of items in your cart.


4. Viewing Your Cart

Click the cart icon in the header to open your cart. You’ll see:

  • All items you’ve added
  • Quantities and individual prices
  • The subtotal

From the cart, you can update quantities, remove items, or proceed to checkout.


5. Updating Quantities and Removing Items

Change quantity

  1. In your cart, find the item you want to update
  2. Use the + and buttons to increase or decrease the quantity
  3. The cart total updates automatically

Remove an item

  1. In your cart, find the item you want to remove
  2. Click the trash icon or the Remove link
  3. The item is removed and the total updates

[!NOTE] Items in your cart are not reserved. If a product sells out before you check out, you’ll be notified and the item will be removed from your cart automatically.


6. Checking Out

When you’re ready to purchase:

  1. Click Proceed to Checkout from your cart
  2. Sign in to your account (or create one) if you haven’t already
  3. Select or enter your delivery address
  4. Review the order summary — items, quantities, prices, and any shipping fees
  5. Click Continue to Payment

7. Paying with Paystack

AEX Ecommerce uses Paystack for secure payment processing. Paystack is available for customers in Nigeria and Ghana.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Debit/Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Verve)
  • Bank transfer
  • USSD
  • Mobile money (Ghana)

Payment steps

  1. On the payment screen, click Pay Now
  2. You’ll be redirected to a secure Paystack payment page
  3. Enter your payment details
  4. Complete any required verification (OTP from your bank)
  5. You’ll be returned to the store with a confirmation

[!WARNING] Never close the browser window while the Paystack payment is processing. Doing so may cause your payment to fail while the charge is still being attempted.


8. Order Confirmation

After a successful payment:

  1. You’ll see an Order Confirmation page with your order number (e.g. ORD-20240615-0042)
  2. A confirmation email is sent to your registered email address
  3. You can track your order anytime under My Account → Orders

[!TIP] Save your order number. You’ll need it if you contact support about this purchase.
